Important Dates:

Tuesday, January 10, 2023 – Payment #4 for the CB and SB Spring Trip Due – $250
Thursday, January 12th, 2023 – All Region Orchestra Audition Videos due. See Mrs. Colburn’s announcement below.
Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 – Honors Concert Band Students – first semester requirements due. See Mrs. Colburn’s announcement below.
Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 – All Classes: Exam videos due in Google Classroom by this date. See Mrs. Colburn’s announcement below.
Monday, January 23, 2023 – CB/SB DIsney Spring Trip Meeting

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. Announcements from Mrs. Colburn – Attention All Students:

Honors Concert Band Students – Your first semester requirements are due to Mrs. Colburn in Google Classroom by Wednesday, January 18th. Also, remember for SECOND semester requirements you must attend either the All-District Concert on January 28^th (and return with a concert program) OR the All-State Concert in May.

All Region Orchestra Audition Videos are due to Mrs. C by Thursday this week (1/12/2023)

Exam Videos – All classes are expected to perform a video for their exam and it is due in Google Classroom by Wednesday, January 18th. Please make sure they read the requirements carefully. If you MADE the all-district band, you do NOT need to complete a video. Your Exam Grade will be 100 from this successful audition.

Sign up to help recruit! – If students do NOT have to take an exam on a certain day, we will be going to different middle schools to recruit. Please sign up on the sign-up genius to join us. 2. Important Announcement re upcoming CB/SB Disney Spring Trip:

Parents of students attending the Disney Spring Trip, there will be an informational session via Google Meet on January 23 from 7-8 pm. Please join us for specific information and updates about the spring trip. It is fine to bring your questions to the meeting, however it would help us to have time to prepare the answers, so you can submit questions to Melanie Shoffner (mbshoffner620@gmail.com) and Kristi Phillips (ksphillips136@gmail.com) prior to the meeting.

3. CB and SB Spring Trip:

Payment #4 was due no later than Tuesday,January 10th, 2023. If you or your student participated in the luminary fundraiser or December venue fundraising, that money has been recorded in Charms and can be put toward the January trip payment. Fruit and flowers fundraising totals will not be available in time for this trip payment.
Checks made payable to LRHS Bands can be sent to school with your student and placed in the band room safe. Payments can also be made via PayPal: Making Payments via PayPal
