Instructions for the Performance of the 77th Annual Raleigh Christmas Parade to be held on Saturday, 19 Nov 22 in downtown Raleigh, NC.
DRIVERS:
Bus 1……..Mrs. Colburn
Bus 2……..WCPSS Bus Driver
Trailer…… Mr. Slock
CHAPERONES:
Mrs. Groff, Mrs. Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Ake, Mr. Jordaan, Mr. and Mrs. Haney, Mrs. Morillo, Mr. Kuhlman and Mrs. Colburn.
MONEY:
You will not need money, however, I strongly recommend you to have a good breakfast as it will be a long morning. You should be home for lunch.
UNIFORM:
FULL DRESS: Blue Coat, White Coat Belt, White Long Sleeve Shirt that fits!…..Blue Tie, White Pants, White Pants Belt, White Socks, White Shoes, and White Cap.……it may be cool, dress with white under the uniform accordingly! Bring gloves and hand warmers to use while we wait for the parade to start! Remember, please arrive fully dressed!
EQUIPMENT:
All Instruments and Harnesses, Mace (with Eagle), Guard Equipment, THE BANNER (with poles) etc, will be loaded in the Trailer.
MUSIC:
Hark…Jingle…Jolly…Joy
SCHEDULE:
6:50 am…….Studio Opens.
7:10 am…….Students arrived dressed! Load winds/drumline in trailer.
7:30 am…….Count-off
7:45 am…….Depart for downtown
8:15 am…….Arrive downtown and off load quickly
9:30 am…….Parade kicks off
11:00 am??…..We might be done with our part of the Parade, Load Buses & Trailer
11:15 am??…..Depart for LHS (We will send out a remind when we leave)
11:45 am??…..Arrive LHS – Off load – EQ reloads pit equipment into trailer
12:00 pm??……..Studio Closes
Note:
We do not know exactly when we will be in the parade until we arrive. We will send out a Remind when we have finished the parade and are on our way back to Leesville. The weather may be a bit cool in the morning until we kick off. Please dress WARMLY and don’t forget gloves to wear while we wait. I would encourage hand warmers as well! ABC11 covers the Parade on TV.
