| SUBJECT: | Instructions for NC Honors Band Try-Outs to be held on Saturday 4 Mar 23 at Atkins High School (3605 Old Greensboro Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27101) with 7 students auditioning |
| DRIVERS: | Students will provide own transportation |
| CHAPERONES: | Students will be taken to the event by their parents. |
| MONEY: | You will need to bring money for lunch or a bag lunch. You should be home for supper. |
| UNIFORM: | The judges will not look at you, however, I would encourage you to look nice just in case. If you want to make a good impression, then dress in that manner. At any rate, you’ll make some sort of impression……..you decide… |
| EQUIPMENT: | Please note that you need to carry your instrument, music, mutes, etc. home with you Friday and take it home after the auditions on Saturday as the school will not be open for your departure or arrival!!! |
| MUSIC: | Make sure you have what you need |
| SCHEDULE: | 11:30am…Arrive Atkins High School – Mr. C will register you and then come find you to give you your number.12:00pm…Judges meeting (Honors Band students must have arrived by this time)Lunch on your own at the High School1:00…Concert Band Auditions begin – Good Luck!???.…Depart Atkins High School – you may leave as soon as you are done |

Click on 2022-2023 All STATE High School Solo List, scroll to your instrument and also check scales – THEY ARE DIFFERENT! All State Auditions are not like All-District auditions in that a specific time is assigned. You must be there at the beginning of audition times and stay until you have auditioned. You may leave as soon as your audition is over. |
