  1. Bands Club Meeting – Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 at 7PM:

The last Bands Club meeting for this school year is coming up on Tuesday, May 30th. We invite incoming freshman/band parents to attend this meeting so that they can learn a little about our club and band activities. That said, please note that this meeting on the 30th isn’t just for new band families. We encourage all our members to attend as we close out the school year.  Among other agenda items, we will have a list of the open board and committee positions that will be open for the 23-24 school year.  We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

  1. Parents of Graduates/Volunteers “graduating” from their Bands Club service:

Are you a parent who is “graduating” LRHS band and has served on the board or as a committee member?

If so, please email Allison Bullard (abullard2@wcpss.net) to let me know the following:

  1. Your name:
  2. Your child’s name:
  3. What position (s) you have served during your time at LRHS:

4. Senior Posters:

Band Banquet is coming soon – Friday June 2nd –  and just like we did last year we would love to honor all of our three bands’ seniors by displaying their Senior Posters! This is completely optional but if you choose to create one, here are some guidelines. We have also included some posters from previous yrs for inspiration! If you have questions please contact Karyn directly at anglero74@gmail.com.  Students please deliver your posters to the band room the week leading to the banquet!!! (After Memorial day) Again, completely optional, but we would encourage you to participate.

Poster guidelines:

  1. Standard size poster (22×28…+/-) in portrait format (short end on top and bottom)
  2. Poster board colors should be either white, green, navy, silver, or gold.
  3. If interested you can laminate your poster but since it will be displayed indoors is not necessary (this is suggested)

Senior parents if interested, create a senior poster for your student! These posters usually include one or more photos, such as their senior photo, along with their name and some embellishments.

They will be displayed along the walls during Band Banquet.  This is a great way to recognize your senior, and we hope that everyone will want to participate! Symphonic Band parents please reuse the one you made in the Fall! No need to make a new poster!!!

Here are a couple of samples so that you can see what has been done in previous years:
