Good Evening Band Families!
It’s CONCERT WEEK! I can’t think of a better way to help get in the holiday mood than listening to some beautiful music in the spirit of the season prepared for us by our students and directors! All our ensembles are performing over the next couple of nights and the links for your ticket purchases are in tonight’s newsletter. For those new to our Bands Club, we traditionally have receptions after these concerts and this year is no exception. Come along, spend some time, and enjoy some treats with our families after each nights’ concerts. Our hospitality committee is still in need of donations and volunteers for some of the roles. Please look at the SignUp Geniuses linked in the newsletter and see if there is a way that you can help out.
The Fundraising Committee has been especially busy this fall and the Luminary Fundraiser is wrapping up over the next few days. Please read their updates in tonight’s edition. Our directors continue to link exciting musical opportunities for our band and orchestra students. Tonight, we have information about a Student Music Contest hosted by the Women’s Club of Raleigh. This event is part of their Annual Arts Festival. Details about this and all the other opportunities sent our way are included in our Band News and Notes. Tonight’s edition can be found at the following link:
Please take a few minutes to read through the newsletter so that you can have all the info you need for the next busy couple of days. As always, thank you for taking your time to support our club, students, and directors. I hope to see many of you at the concerts on Thursday and Friday. Until the next edition please enjoy the holiday season – and some terrific music.
Take Care,
-Susan
